Comments: I read these pages from time to time with great interest.  I was born and lived in Yarmouth having left in the late l950s.  Occasionally I see names whom I remember.  Specifically, could you inform me of what writer is referring to as "misleading and incomplete" regarding Greenville (report #48 dated 6/6/01)?  Where can I find this on the Web.  Thank you.

Comments: My husband and I are planning to travel to Nova Scotia this summer with our three children.  We are trying to locate a cottage that used to belong to my husband's paternal grandparents in what used to be known as Markland.  It would have been called the Edith Gray cottage.  My husband's grandparents were Audrey and Robert Eldridge and they sold the place to a family named Sweeny some 30 years ago.  Can you help me find out whether it is still there??  Thank you so much.

Comments: What a lovely homepage.  Perhaps you know my friend Carolyn Pickens who does missionary work in the Greenvillle area and elsewhere.  One summer i worked for the cultural awareness society in Shelburne and did a lot of work on some families there.  I notice your mention of the Rev. Charles Nathan Smith.  My grandparents know him.  I believe he did a lot of work in the South End Mission at Yarmouth.  I am compiling a history of the early Pentecostal movements along the south shore...for a seminary course, although I may make the paper available as there is so much that should be told that people nowadays dont know about.  I would like to ask if you would mind sharing some information on Rev. Smith, like where he was born, what years he preached in the area, etc.  I believe descendants of his are also preachers.  If you do not mind sharing, please feel free to email me at the above adresse.  I will leave not to peruse your pages a bit more, but I hope to hear from you soon

IT WAS LATER RENAMED THE YARMOUTH CASTLE AND WAS BEING USED AS A CRUISE SHIP IN THE 50'S WHEN IT CAUGHT FIRE AND BURNED OFF THE COAST OF I THINK IT WAS NJ.   MY AUNT ON MY MOTHERS SIDE WAS MARJORIE BOYD ( HULSMAN ) SHE WAS A WELL KNOWN ARTIST FROM KENTVILLE. ANOTHER AUNTS NAME WAS JEAN GAVEL( HULSMAN ) AND HER HUSBAND'S NAME WAS AUSTIN AND A DAUGHTER JOANN.THAY HAD A BUSINESS NAMED A I EXTRACTS. I HAD  UNCLES NAMED DON,BOB AND EARL HULSMAN.DON TOOK OVER A I EXTRACTS FROM MY AUNT JEAN AFTER AUSTIN DIED. ALL OF THE ELDERS HAVE PASSED ON. I CAME BACK TO YARMOUTH EVERY YEAR WITH MY PARENTS WHEN I WAS YOUNG FROM I GUESS 1942 UNTIL I WOULD SAY AROUND 1954 AND I LOVED IT. THE LAST TIME WAS IN 1981 WITH MY WIFE AND SISTER.
