History: Guides of Yarmouth Robert Gates, Sr.

Robert Gates, Sr.
Robert guided from 1946 until 1960 for American hunters. He guided for birds, deer and bear. He guided one particular hunter for over thirty years. He had his own camp. He was 18 years of age when he started guiding and he guided for Selwyn Ring off and on for several years. In 1970 he became Supervisor of Forest Resources until May 1986.
